After dropping out of the Top 5 last month as the 208 was unveiled locally, the Peugeot 207 is back in pole position in October thanks to a massive 4,162 sales, reinforcing its 2012 year-to-date leadership at 29,646 units. The Dacia Logan is solid at #2 with 2,550 sales, adding up to 21,681 year-to-date (#3) while the Hyundai Accent is down 2 spots on last month to #3 at 2,335 units but stays #2 YTD with 22,162 sales, helped by the new generation which has been a real success in the country.
In 4th position we find the Seat Ibiza, up from #6 in September to 1,715 sales and benefitting from the unavailability of the VW Polo to carve itself a spot in the Algerian Top 5, the highest it has ever been here. Brand-wise, boosted by the enormous month of the 207, Peugeot is the most popular in October and for the third time in the last 4 months at 7,876 units, ahead of Renault at 5,085 and Dacia at 3,732. #1 last month, Hyundai is down to #4 with 3,711 sales. Year-to-date, Renault is still in pole position at 67,132 units, followed by Peugeot and Hyundai.
